Happy Turkey Day! (almost!)
Today was Lauren's Thanksgiving program at preschool. She was a turkey who sang and danced. Actually, her entire class played turkeys. It was very cute. When the turkeys had to gobble, gobble, gobble, she would work the beak and make it gobble. Then we ate pumpkin muffins the kids had made the day before. Granddaddy and Aunt Rebecca and Jenna came, as well as Momma, Daddy and Jack. It was a great program!

My neice!!!
I would like to introduce Jenna Eloise to the masses who read this (hee-hee!). She was born on Oct. 17, 6 pds. 15 1/2 oz., 21 in. long. She is as beautiful as you would imagine and so sweet. She make Jack look huge and makes the sweetest little baby noises. Lauren loves to hold her and says over and over, "She's just so sweet!" I forget how small babies really are. Heck, neither of mine were ever this small on the outside of me, so that explains that. She is perfection. Congrats to her momma and daddy for a job well done!!!

Goebel Farms
We went to the pumpkin patch over the weekend with friends and it was hot, but great. We got to see lots of pumpkins and gourds and we saw the coolest chocolate lab who fetched sticks out of the lake.

Update:
Pre K is all we hoped it would be and more. She loves school and cannot wait to go everyday. Good sign of things to come!
We have all had the nastiest stomach flu over the last few days and it sucked. Jack is the only one still dealing with it. Hoping it is on it's way out since it is nutclub time again. Off to try fried Coke...I'll let you know what in the heck that is when I find out.

Sorry for the lull...
So, next week we have our PreK teacher meeting. How is she old enough for preschool you may ask? Let me tell you: I have no idea. The fact that she starts Kindergarten in under a year blows me away and I all but refuse to believe it. She is very excited for school to start. This year, she will be going 3 days per week. Sigh...How will I ever manage her being gone 5 days a week? I know I will find things to do, but imagining life without her for 6+ hrs. a day seems impossible.
Jack is full on, no holds barred, crawling/pulling up/beginning to cruise and my life is about to increase in speed by, oh, I don't know, 500 TIMES!!! He knows no fear, is not even a bit timid and is very friendly to every person whether they are friendly back or not.
Man, I LOVE THESE KIDS!!!

Tooth count: Jack, 6 in Lauren, 2 out
So, Jack is now crawling, not only army style, but occasionally on his hands and knees as well. He also pulls up, but is not cruising yet (which is fine by me!) but I know that is coming.
I booked our vacation for December. If you know what it is, great. If not, I'm not telling. Yet. Let's just say, Lauren will LOVE it with a very capital LOVE!!!
More later...

So, the teeth...
Lauren lost another one, Jack got another one. John and I still have all of ours in case you were wondering. She is looking so grown up. Makes me a little sad.
Jack is trying so hard to crawl. You just pull for him to do it, but that too, will make me a little sad ;).
We had a great vacation. The mountains were still pretty, but we did see bears this time, so I have now done all I intend to do there, so if we don't go back, that's ok. If we do, that's ok too, but I don't need to.

The tooth is out!!!
Last night the tooth fairy came and left a golden coin!! She was very excited. Not that it didn't come with some drama...John pulled it, with Lauren's consent, and after skipping through the house saying, "I am a big girl! I am a big girl!" She rinsed her mouth, then started crying about not wanting to lose a tooth or to be big or to grow up. It was quite sad, actually. She did manage to make a turn around and was then excited about the tooth fairy, after some coaxing with chocolate milk.
