First church lock in
Tonight is Lauren's first church lock in. All of the 3rd graders at our church were presented a bible last Sunday and tonight they will learn how to use them. I think it is a terrific idea! A bible can be a confusing tool to use, especially at first! She is very excited!! I volunteered to take a dozen cookies, so after school drop off this morning, Jack and Kate and I will be going to Sam's to get some cookies. Wonder if he'll try to get me to buy some for our house as well...bet I know.

So...
A few things have happened since December....
Dec. 17: Found out we had to move to TN
Dec. 18: I was admitted to St. Mary's for stomach flu/sever dehydration/rapid heartbeat and put in ICU for baby and heart monitoring
Dec. 19: Released from the hospital, told the kids we were moving. It was not pretty.
Dec. 30-31: Spent time in TN to find a place to live.
Jan. 6: Talked to the relo company
Jan. 11: Moving semi arrived, pulled down the power line, kids were out of school for snow, so they were there for the packing both days
Jan. 14: Met the truck in TN for unloading
Jan. 17: John started his new job, we stayed in IN to finish the pg./deliver etc.
Feb. 10: KATHERINE ALLISON was born
Feb. 24: The entire family leaves for TN
Feb. 28: Lauren starts her new school, Johnson Elementary
We do lots of fun things...summer comes and goes (far to quickly) and here we are. Lauren in 3rd grade, Jack in PreK, and Kate 7 mo. old.
I'll try to be better about posting...we'll see.

So, Jack is going to be 4 on Wednesday. Where does time go? 10 weeks until Katherine gets here. Tuesday is Lauren's Christmas program. Santa is surely watching this house about now to see who has been naughty and who has been nice. Cat? Naughty. Dog? Nice. We had Jack's family party last night and he loved every minute of it! Even slept in his new house shoes. That kid loves Lightning McQueen!
More updates later....

So...
We have had a lot of fun since my last, long ago, post. I had a birthday, Lauren had a birthday, we had our 11 yr. wedding anniversary, John had a birthday...We are very lucky!
School is almost over for the yr., then we will have a 2nd grader and that seems impossible. She has grown a lot this year as a student and as a kid. She reads now, she asks in depth math questions. She has a lot of interest in science. I am amazed by her.
Jack is enjoying his friends at school and loves his teachers.
Summer will be jam packed and fun and over before I blink!!!!!

Hello all (both) readers of my blog...
So, school is going well for Lauren, Jack and teaching is going well for me. We have been busy doing a variety of activities, including playing in the snow and waiting not so patiently for spring to arrive.
All of a sudden Jack and Lauren have REALLY grown a lot!
The kids have each gotten new bunk beds and like them, especially Lauren who goes from top to bottom bunk on opposite nights.
Lauren's birthday plan is in full effect. Mar. 27 is her (pseudo) sleepover and she is VERY excited to celebrate early. Jack insists it will be his birthday, too. Lauren is trying to be patient with him...

So much has happened...
Mother and Dad: Santa-ing all over the place!
Malee: In and back out of the hospital. 'Tis the season...
Grandma: In the hospital, then surgery, now on 5th floor of Gibson General.
Granddaddy: So sorry that he has died. Words cannot yet express what I feel. Sad mainly.
Lauren: GREAT STUDENT!!! GOT PRIZES FOR: behavior during lunch, attendance, turning in her homework. Super kid and I was told by one teacher today (not Mrs. Arnold) that Lauren is "just precious!" Makes a momma proud.
Jack: Talking like a champion 3 YEAR OLD! How did that happen so quickly?
Rebecca: Having another baby. Just in time, too. I need a baby to snuggle and give back...
John: Getting back to a normal schedule, which is good for all of us!
Me: Doing it all and loving every minute of it!

Happy Halloween
Jack had shed his doctor costume by this time of night, but he was cute, you have to take my word on that one. Lauren was a perky cheerleader and Daisie and Daphne were cute kitties. After an evening of trick or treating and getting lots of good candy, the kids all got to play at Rebecca's for over an hour and eat some pizza. Fun times!!!
Jack is liking school by the way and Lauren got a straight A report card. Also, we went to the dentist today and NO CAVITIES for either kiddo! Yippee!!!!
